OUR EXPERTISE

Best Children's Hospitals - Nephrology 2017-2018

The Ira Greifer Children's Kidney Center at CHAM is one of the nation’s largest, most experienced and innovative facilities dedicated to caring for children with kidney problems.

We performed one of the first pediatric kidney transplants in history. We’re proud to say that many of the infants and children who received transplants at CHAM are now living healthy and productive adult lives. We were the first dedicated pediatric dialysis facility in New York State.

Our three-tiered mission involves:

  • Caring for patients, their families, and our community with a high degree of excellence.
  • Educating physicians, patients, and families about the management and treatment of kidney disorders.
  • Advancing knowledge about kidney disease by researching and pioneering new treatments.
  •
