OUR EXPERTISE

MMG_MAP_2013_05-1051_316x210

When your child can't sleep because of swollen tonsils or a continually stuffy nose, it may be time to see one of the ear, nose and throat specialists at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). Our skilled and compassionate physicians can provide solutions to frequent childhood complaints like sinus and ear infections, tonsillitis and snoring.

We treat all ear, nose, throat, head and neck illnesses in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. We also diagnose and treat larger concerns such as head and neck tumors, voice box and large airway obstruction, communication problems, birth defects and pediatric hearing loss.

If your child is struggling with hearing loss or communication problems, you'll be pleased to know that we have numerous resources to help. For those children who do not benefit from hearing aids, we have extensive experience in cochlear implant surgery. Studies show that children who receive cochlear implants at a young age develop language skills at a rate similar to children with normal hearing, and many go on to succeed in mainstream classrooms. Our physicians are skilled surgeons with a minimum of five years' training in head and neck surgery.

We're happy to answer questions about your child's complaints honestly and considerately, and, because we're a comprehensive children's hospital, we have the staff and resources to treat the whole child.

We work hand-in-hand with a large team of audiologists, speech and language therapists, pediatric psychologists, developmental pediatricians and more specialists within CHAM and the award-winning Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
