IMPACT Program
IMPACT is a multidisciplinary program whose team members provide complementary therapies to pediatric patients and their caregivers. With the approval of your physician, IMPACT offers the following therapies to help reduce side effects and stress and bring comfort to our patients and caregivers: aromatherapy, massage therapy, reiki and yoga and mental health services. Working closely with Social Work, Child Life, the Chaplaincy, Psychology, Psychiatry and the Pain Service allows us to formulate goals for and with patients to help support them through their medical treatment. The team conducts research to measure the effectiveness of its interventions. Through our IMPACT Volunteer Program, we have been able to extend services to staff caring for children with life-threatening illnesses.
