Residency and Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore

Fellowships

At Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, we offer post-doctoral fellowship training in 23 pediatric specialties. Fellows obtain rich clinical experiences at the Children’s Hospital in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in affiliated sites. Research opportunities abound, not only at the Children’s Hospital but in laboratories at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. A Department of Pediatrics Fellows’ Research Course for all fellows provides a longitudinal curriculum that also covers quality improvement and professional development.

Fellows present their research at national meetings, not only at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) but at subspecialty meetings. Graduates of CHAM Fellowships go on to successful careers and are leaders in their fields.

Academic Pediatric Association Young Investigator Award

Anne Fuller, MD

Anne Fuller, MD, Academic General Pediatrics Fellow, CHAM, was awarded the Academic Pediatric Association Young Investigator Award for her study, “Strategies for Improving Care for Children with Special Health Care Needs,” which explores the prevalence of challenges and material hardships among families of children with special health care needs. Dr. Fuller’s research also examines the strategies caregivers utilize to meet such challenges. The findings of this study could help inform interventions to optimize care for children with special health care needs in the primary care setting.
